Ferromobile qualification tests

We are proud to share the results of our qualification trials at the Grand Port Maritime de Bordeaux—a crucial phase in confirming the robustness, safety, and performance of our innovative rail mobility service.

These trials enabled us to:

– Validate the Ferromobile’s dynamic behavior in a real-world environment,
– Support our Preliminary Safety Case and demonstrate compliance with operational and regulatory requirements,
– Prepare for future service pilot programs on the *Ligne des Mouettes* and *Livradois-Forez* lines.

The Grand Port Maritime de Bordeaux provided an ideal testing ground, featuring several kilometers of track that combine straight sections with tight curves (180-meter radius), allowing us to test the full range of conditions we are likely to encounter.

The Ferromobile reinforces its ambition: to reinvent rail mobility by providing an agile, low-carbon, and competitive solution for regional needs, while drastically reducing the investment required to reopen—or even maintain—local rail lines.

This service complements and strengthens the existing regional rail (TER) network by offering a solution tailored to the needs of local communities and stakeholders.

A huge thank you to the teams involved, our technical partners, and the Grand Port Maritime de Bordeaux for their trust and collaboration.

This project is funded by the French State under the *France 2030* plan and operated by ADEME.
